„My Experience on the Reeperbahn“ is the title of an old calypso by Lord Invader. In the song, he recounts his experiences while on tour in Hamburg in the 1950’s, where an encounter in St. Pauli „shocked“ his „modesty“. I’m borrowing this title for my series of pictures taken during explorations into Hamburg’s nightlife, wich often start at the Reeperbahn station.
